If you do want to use WoWmapper (it supports a 16-way quick menu in ConsolePort), you can skip adding a profile to Controller Companion. This means you don't have to use WoWmapper at all. You can find the default keybinds on the ConsolePort website ( ) and make your profile in Controller Companion match. I almost never use mouse mode now.Ĭontroller Companion will also allow you to add a profile for when WoW is running. With Controller Companion or similar, you can leave your mouse/gamepad toggle always on gamepad. I don't change most of the default keybinds in WoW as most of the "keys" I use are for things like quest log or social windows. I think Antimicro is free, and Steam has a desktop controller configuration, but Controller Companion is easy and just works. I would also look into something like Controller Companion for the desktop. Join their Discord for the latest version (pinned in #classic). I would absolutely recommend ConsolePort. It should be similar if you plan to play retail since ConsolePort exists for both. Im a bit overwhelmed by all the posibilities that the gpd win 2 and wow offers me :DĪs someone who has played WoW Classic solely on his Win2, I could offer some tips on how I do it. It seems that ConsolePort does not recognize the Controller on its own (Setup "2"), do i need to map it as a keyboard or does it get recognized as XboxController? Im thinking about this setups, but i dont know which would be the nicest experience:ġ.) wowmapper + consoleport with GPD Controller Toogle "ON"Ģ.) consoleport with GPD Controller Toogle "ON"ģ.) wowmapper with GPD Controller Toogle "ON"Ĥ.) controller companion (steam) with GPD Controller Toogle "ON"ĥ.) Or just basic Keybinds with no addon and with GPD Controller Toogle "OFF" (mouse) Now im trying everything to get it work fine but i havent found so much information about the setups of the community. Ive done some research but i didnt got it working as i wanted to. Now im struggeling with setting up World of Warcraft Keybinds. On the other hand, its just just for private use, maybe PPather would be enough for you.Today finally my GPD win 2 (m3-8100y) arrived. Racoon (togarda)1) WoWMapper will not be compatibleĢ) You need to look at how the map data is stored in Cata/MOP(wowmapper version dependent) and then at how it is stored in vanilla to see the changes and fix wowmapper for classic. How to fix this? <- make it compatilbe with classic Why is that? <- i Think wowmapper is not compatible with classic Wowmapper cant read those chunks -> throws error in chunkedData -> cant read tile -> invalidTile -> no polygons to find in pathgeneration with meshPather -> no dynamic bot It will throw an index out of range exception at row 27 because it is trying to read positions in the array which are not existant. ^It is trying to read the chunk of the adt file while the byte nameBytes has no entrys^ there are plenty of tiles which aren't red correctly) I used the XNA project (meshDisplay) from wowmapper to check the missing or buggy tiles: ScreenshotĮverything works fine until i add this tile (Kalimdor_33_37) (it is only an example. Mesh creating is working right now, but not completly: I changed everything that would give an error and recompiled it. So Im currently trying to get wowmapper working with vanillawow. While i was reading the ADT files from the mpq like this i found wowmapper and thought why not using an existing framework to get it work So i decided to get into Recast and Detour with meshes. I thought that my NavigationSystem with A* and SafeSegments ist not accurate enough to be part of a dynamic bot. Im working on my little classic bot project since 2 month now.
